Memorial Day is a day to remember our dedicated soldiers

My Dad was a Marine he signed himself up at the age of 17 without my grandmother knowing.
He fought in Korea and worked his way up to Sergeant.  .  He was also one of the Marines "given the honor" to participate in a practice exercise called UP-SHOT KNOTHOLE. This is where our government used our military to observe the effect of radiation getting our troops as close to ground zero as possible and dropping an atomic bomb. Then having them run right into the mass destruction and act as though they were in a real situation. They were each given a Film Badge to wear, and when the assignment was done they each turned in their badges so the scientists

could read the amounts of radiation each man received.

All of these men were told that the amount of radiation they would be receiving would be no greater then what you would recieve if you were getting an x-ray!
I could go on and on , but my father is now gone due to the effects of the radiation exposure along with hundreds maybe thousands of others who died for this experiment.
The government will continue doing these kinds of things to our military so today I would like everyone to take a moment to honor our dedicated soldiers and remember the ones who have passed on.
God Bless America!
