Easter Celebration 4/24/2011

Easter is running late this year!  Last year it was on April 4th but this year it is not until April 24th.
I was curious why it was so late this year so I did a little digging.

*"Easter is a moveable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar.
It occurs during the spring, in March or April".

*The modern English term Easter developed from the Old English word Ēastre or Ēostre , which itself developed prior to 899.
*According to the Canonical gospels, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Christians typically celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday), two days after Good Friday. (Easter from Wikipedia)
